How to Find/Block Stolen/Lost Mobile Using IMEI Number

Hi Friends Many of you have faced the problem to find or block your Stolen mobile.
The lost mobile can be blocked by using the IMEI number. IMEI number is nothing but International Mobile Equipment Identity Number. For every mobile a 15 digit unique number is alloted and by using the 15 digit number you can Block the mobile very simple.

How to Find IMEI number of your Device:

• The IMEI number of GSM or CDMA Devices can be easily found by simply pressing *#06# in your dialpad.
• The IMEI number is printed on compliance plate of your mobile under the battery and for different models the location of the IMEI Sticker changes.The General IMEI is shown in the below figure.
• The IMEI number is also printed on the Box of the Headset.
• The IMEI number was written in the bill of the mobile.

How to Block the Device using the IMEI number:

If you have the IMEI number of the device you just call to the network operator and say that your mobile is lost and block y device.The network provider adds your IMEI number to the registry of the stolen devices which is shared to all the network operators which is called as Equipment Identity Register (EIR) by doing this thing you can prevent the unauthorized use of the device and if the IMEI number is transferred to the  Central Equipment Identity Register and the device may not work with any other operator also.
